Plan for Ecology Ltd maps habitats, species, ecological constraints and opportunities for biodiversity enhancement using QGIS (Quantum Geographic Information System) and handheld device Apps such as QField and Mergin Maps. The data captured enables our ecologists to accurately define habitat type, area and quality, query, manipulate and statistically analyze spatial data, produce high resolution maps and geopackage files. This information is used to guide contractors on site so to avoid ecologically sensitive areas, to map the existing Green Infrastructure of the Site and identify opportunities to enhance the site for biodiversity.
