Kim founded Plan for Ecology Ltd in 2013 having worked as an ecologist for several years in both the UK and oversees. Kim has 15 years’ experience as a consultant ecologist, an Honours Degree in Animal Science (University of the West of England), a Masters in Biodiversity and Conservation and a Doctorate in Biological Sciences (University of Exeter).
Kim has many testimonials for her client liaison, is responsible for supervising the work of our ecologists and undertaking habitat and protected species surveys, assessments and licensing. Kim project manages and advises on large complex projects (typically those requiring an EIA) with her extensive ecological experience and knowledge. Kim holds a site Managers and Professionals CSCS card, a range of protected species licences including those for bats, dormouse, badger and barn owl and project specific licences including European Protected Species Licences. Kim has also led peer-reviewed and published research into the ecology of invasive plant species.
Kim is a professional multi-tasker and can usually be found perfecting our procedures and reporting, on long walks and adventures with her daughter and jack russell terrier or trying to learn something new (currently the piano aided by a glass of wine!).
