Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)

Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)

Plan for Ecology routinely prepare Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA), Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA) and Ecology Chapters as part of EIA for developments in Cornwall and across the UK.

EIA is required for developments that meet the criteria set out in the European Union Directives 85/337/EEC and 97/11/EC. The EIA includes an Ecology Chapter.

Smaller developments, which do not require a formal EIA, frequently require an Ecological Impact Assessment or Preliminary Ecological Appraisal.

We also carry out Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and Ecological Risk Assesments in Cornwall, Devon and across the UK.

Plan for Ecology are pleased to be members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

We provide impartial advice and professional, efficient and cost-effective ecological services. Our portfolio ranges from single housing plots and the modernisation of listed buildings, to large residential and industrial developments, pipeline installation, wind turbines and solar PV farms.
